Shalom Green

Did you know?

Shalom Green, the volunteer led Shalom Park Environmental Initiative, is responsible for maintaining the Shalom Park Community Garden. Did you know?


  • The Shalom Park Community Garden hosts over 1,000 visitors annually and is maintained solely by volunteers and our Garden Coordinator.
  • The garden has fourteen raised beds and produces, on average, over 300 pounds of produce each year.
  • Shalom Green is working to fight food insecurity, 90% of the produce grown in the garden is donated directly to the food pantry at Jewish Family Services of Greater Charlotte which has approximately 600 visits annually.

We are a lay led social justice committee whose Board is comprised of member representatives from Temple Beth El, Temple Israel and the Levine JCC. Community volunteers are critical to Shalom Green's success. Connect with us at info@shalomgreenCLT.org.

Our Funding

  

Shalom Green receives financial support from the Jewish Federation of Greater Charlotte. Shalom Green receives administrative support and fiscal sponsorship from the Foundation of Shalom Park.  


To provide financial support to Shalom Green, donations made to The Foundation of Shalom Park should note "Shalom Green Fund." Donations may be made to online OR delivered to the Foundation of Shalom Park office.
