Here We Grow! Support YOUR Shalom Park Community Garden!

Shalom Green, the volunteer led Shalom Park Environmental Initiative, is responsible for maintaining the Shalom Park Community Garden. Did you know?

The Shalom Park Community Garden hosts over 1,000 visitors annually and is maintained solely by volunteers and our Garden Coordinator.
The garden has fourteen raised beds and produces, on average, over 300 pounds of produce each year.
Shalom Green is working to fight food insecurity, the produce grown in the garden is donated directly to the food pantry at Jewish Family Services of Greater Charlotte which has approximately 600 visits annually.

Funding for the garden depends on community support!

Funding for the garden, including the salary of our Garden Coordinator and materials such as seeds fertilizer, tools and mulch, comes from allocations from the Jewish Federation of Greater Charlotte and from private donations to the Shalom Green Fund via our fiscal sponsor, The Foundation of Shalom Park.

We need to raise $7,000 to grow and maintain the Shalom Park Community Garden in 2024!

The campaign ends on December 31st.

Our Funding

Shalom Green receives financial support from the Jewish Federation of Greater Charlotte. Shalom Green receives administrative support and fiscal sponsorship from the Foundation of Shalom Park.

To provide financial support to Shalom Green, donations made to The Foundation of Shalom Park should note "Shalom Green Fund." Donations may be made to online OR delivered to the Foundation of Shalom Park office.
